The state Supreme Court has suspended without pay Lafayette City Court judge Michelle Odinet for a video taken inside her home where racial slurs can be heard on the video. Legal analyst and attorney Franz Borghardt says it remains to be seen if Odinet will ever serve as a judge again…:

Retired Opelousas City Court Judge Vanessa Harris will take over Odinet’s docket. Harris becomes the first black judge in Lafayette City Court history.
