Thanksgiving Weekend state police responded to 15 fatal crashes. Troop C’s area alone in southeast Louisiana, last month there were 13 deaths from fatal crashes. So, they are working with several agencies like Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre in hopes of curbing impaired driving.

They are asking the public to call them when they see an impaired driver.

A Legislative Budget Committee approves spending $23-million in federal funds to modernize aging water and sewerage systems in small towns and rural parishes. House Appropriations Chair Jerome Zeringue says they currently have about 300-million dollars and they plan to approve more projects early next year…

Fans of Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White chipped in to show their appreciation for the football player in a big way after he was injured Thanksgiving Day in the Saints game. The Bills Mafia raised more than $100 thousand to stop hunger in his hometown of Shreveport. White had already donated 1000 turkeys in Shreveport and the Mafia followed his lead.
