Ed Orgeron is heading into his final regular-season game as head coach of the LSU Tigers. The players said after the win over ULM that they want to beat Texas A-and-M this Saturday for Coach O. But Orgeron doesn’t want the focus to be on him….

Nicholls wide receiver Dai’Jean Dixon and Southeastern Louisiana quarterback Cole Kelley are finalists for the Walter Payton Award, which goes out to the best player in college football. Kelley won the award last year and today Kelley was named the Southland Conference Player of the Year. The Defensive Player of the Year in the Southland is McNeese defensive end Isaiah Chambers as he led the league in sacks with 5.5.
