Today is the first day of a new college basketball season. The LSU Tigers have a new-look team and will host ULM tonight. The Bayou Bengals return just four scholarship players from last year’s team that went 19 and 10. A couple of new additions include Missouri transfer Xavier Pinson and Cincinnati transfer Tari Eason.

The Pelicans lost their seventh straight last night as they fell to the Dallas Mavericks 108-92 as New Orleans continues to play without Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

Saints Coach Sean Payton says quarterback Trevor Siemian graded out well after watching the tape from Sunday’s loss to Atlanta. Siemian threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns and Payton says the number could have been better if not for the dropped passes…

Former Browns, Giants, and LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior will go through waivers until 4 PM today. If no one claims him, he will become a free agent. Payton says they can’t afford to claim a player on waivers, because of their salary cap issues.
