It appears 20-year-old Bajkanwar Aulakh shot his 24-year-old friend in the chest before fatally shooting himself. Aulakh was to appear at the Lafayette Parish Courthouse today on various charges.

5th District Congressman Vance McAllister has only 233 dollars in available campaign funds according to the last report he filed with the Federal Elections Commission on August 2nd. It’s expected the Congressman will self-finance much of his campaign.
