LSU Coach Ed Orgeron said after Saturday’s loss to UCLA that he was taking the responsibility for the loss to the Bruins. On Tuesday, he talked about the adjustments the coaches have made. LSU could not run the ball against UCLA. Orgeron says they are putting different types of run plays into the playbook

Orgeron says there’s also been extensive meetings on how the defense can defend crossing routes better. UCLA scored two of its touchdowns on crossing routes that left receivers wide open.

LSU is no longer ranked in the polls and the same goes for the Ragin Cajuns who look to rebound from a loss to Texas by hosting Nicholls this Saturday.

Louisiana Tech showed signs it can be productive on offense in its one-point loss to Mississippi State last Saturday. Bulldogs quarterback Austin Kendall says he wants to be more consistent on offense this week…

The Saints have released running back Latavious Murray after the veteran refused to take a pay cut. Tony Jones Junior is now the primary backup to Alvin Kamara. With the extra cap space, New Orleans has signed veteran corner Desmond Trufant and the Saints have reportedly made a trade to acquire Texans starting cornerback Bradley Roby, who is suspended for the season opener.
