Baton Rouge police want to talk with with former LSU offensive lineman La’el Collins about the shooting death of a pregnant woman. 29-year-old Brittney Mills was gunned down at her home last Friday and it’s been reported Collins was once romantically involved with Mills, who was eight months pregnant. Baton Rouge Police Corporal Don Coppola says they believe Collins may know why someone would want to shoot her…

Collins is in Chicago, where he’s expected to be selected in the NFL’s first round on Thursday night.

Multiple media outlets are reporting LSU defensive tackle Mickey Johnson is transferring and he will be able to play for the Bulldogs next season as he’s set to graduate in August. Johnson is a four-star recruit out of St. Paul’s High School in Covington. In the past two seasons, he’s only played in seven games.

The LSU Baseball team scored three runs in the fourth and eighth innings and went on to beat Alcorn State six to one. Danny Zardon drove in three runs. Andrew Stevenson and Chris Chinea each had two hits and seven pitchers combined to limit the Braves to two hits.

Also last night, UNO crushed Jackson State 14 to 3, and Tulane edged Southeastern Louisiana five to four in ten innings. Tyler Wilson hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the tenth inning for the walk off win for the Green Wave.

In action tonight…Louisiana Tech will host Stephen F Austin. The Bulldogs are coming off a 1-0 win over FIU. Nicholls State is set to hose ULM at six PM tonight. The Colonels are 24-16 and 1, while the Warhawks are 21-and-23. UNO is at U-L Lafayette and McNeese State visits Southern.

In the high school baseball playoffs, In 3-A, Evangel Christian is the top seed, in two-A, Doyle is the number one seed, and In Class One-A, Ouachita Chrisian is the number one seed.
