LSU announces that in order to attend games at Tiger Stadium this season, fans 12 and older will have to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours. LSU Infectious Disease Specialist Doctor Catherine O’ Neal says if you are not vaccinated you can go get one today and have some additional protection entering the stadium. Big night for Jameis Winston last night as he looks to lock down the starting quarterback job for the Saints. Winston was nine of ten for 123 yards and two touchdowns in his start since 2019….

In two preseason games, Winston and Taysom Hill have each thrown for 219 yards and an interception. but Winston has thrown three touchdown passes. Two of those passes went to second-year wide receiver Marquez Callaway, who had a beautiful one-handed TD grab late in the first quarter.

The defense also played well, holding Jacksonville to just three points over the first three quarters. Newly signed kicker Aldrick Rosas booted a 52-yard field goal to finish out the first half.

New Orleans has one more preseason game and that’s this Saturday at home against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Lafayette Little League All-Star team was eliminated from the Little League World Series last night, falling to a team from Ohio by the score of eight to two. Lafayette could not overcome a five-run fourth inning.
