Baton Rouge police say their detectives want to speak with former LSU Tiger La’el Collins about the shooting death of a pregnant woman last week in the capitol city. 29-year-old Brittney Mills was gunned down at her home last Friday. Corporal Don Coppola says Collins is not considered a suspect in her muder, but they know he had a relationship with the woman. Coppola would not go any further about the type of relationship the two had. Collins is planning on attending the NFL Draft in Chicago, where he’s expected to be a first round pick.

Pelicans head coach Monty Williams met with the media today to wrap up the season. Williams said he’s proud the team exceeded expectations by making the playoffs. The coach did not want discuss whether he deserves a contract extension and says improving their transition defense will be at the top of their list for improvement.

Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis will meet with the media tomorrow.

The number one ranked LSU Tigers are back on the baseball diamond tonight to host Alcorn State. If LSU is involved in a close game tonight, coach Paul Mainieri says he won’t have second thoughts about using Jesse Stallings as his closer, even though Stallings has blown three saves in SEC play. The coach says the Colfax native has great stuff, but has trouble locating his fastball at times…
