A sports gaming analyst expects Louisiana will have some of the highest per capita sports gaming revenue in the country once the activity gets off the ground. Matt Doyle has the story.

Jay Johnson will make his first public appearance as LSU’s new Head Baseball coach. He will address the media at Alex Box Stadium at 4:30 and answer fans questions at 5:15. Fans can be admitted to the stadium at 4pm through gate 2. Johnson will be the school’s 26th coach for the Tigers.

Governor John Bel Edwards’s veto of a concealed carry bill increases the likelihood of a historic veto session. There has never been one since it was put into the state’s constitution in 1974, but Edwards says it isn’t too much to ask a person who wants to carry a concealed weapon to have proper education and safety training…

The veto of the concealed carry bill on the heels of a veto to ban transgender females from competing in women’s sports another bill that made the headlines during the session.

Monroe Senator Jay Morris authored the gun rights legislation and says he’s optimistic a session will be called…

Both chambers must agree to convene a veto session, which would be held from July 20th to the 24th.
