The LSU men’s track and field team scored 84 points and won the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field title, their first since 2002 and the fifth in program history. LSU won six event titles in Eugene, Oregon, the second-most ever in meet history. Six-foot-four senior JuVaughn Harrison won the high jump and long jump. Freshman Sean Burrell of Zachary won the 400-meter hurdles.
In the NBA…Former New Orleans Hornet Chris Paul and coach Monty Williams have led the Suns to the Western Conference Finals. Phoenix completed the sweep of the Nuggets yesterday with a 125 to 118 victory. C-P-3 had 37 points.
Former LSU Tiger Aaron Nola struck out nine as the Phillies completed a three-game sweep of the Yankees by blanking New York seven to nothing. Nola is 5-and-4 on the season and Philadelphia is back over the .500 mark at 33 and 32.
