LSU’s Paul Mainieri announces he’s retiring from coaching after leading the Tigers baseball program for the last 15 years. Mainieri led the Tigers to the College World Series five times, winning it all in 2009 and finishing as a runner-up in 2017. This year’s LSU baseball team is waiting to find out if they made the NCAA Tournament. The Field of 64 will be unveiled on Monday at 11 AM. Louisiana Tech faces Western Kentucky in an elimination game in the Conference USA Tournament tonight at 6:30 in Ruston. The Bulldogs fell to Southern Miss four to one, while the Hilltoppers needed extra innings to beat UTSA and avoid elimination. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.

After going 2-0 in pool play, The Ragin Cajuns will face Georgia Southern at 4 PM tomorrow in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Tournament in Montgomery, Alabama. It will be the first meeting of the season between these teams as well.

At the Southland Tournament…McNeese and Southeastern face off tonight in the semi-finals. If the Cowboys win, they head to the championship round. A Lions victory forces another game between McNeese and SELU. Abilene Christian and Sam Houston is the other sem-final matchup.

And LSU softball faces Florida State tonight. The Seminoles lead the best of three super regional series one game to nothing after winning last night one to nothing.
