The LSU baseball team will face Georgia in an elimination game of the SEC tournament, the winner advances into the double-elimination portion of the bracket.  LSU has won a conference-high 12 tournament titles and the Tigers have won six of the past 12 SEC Tournament crowns. Paul Mainieri owns a 38-10 record in SEC Tournament games.

Tulane with begin American Athletic Conference tournament play against Houston at 3 p.m. and ULM will play in the Sun Belt Conference tournament against Georgia State at 4.  Also, Louisiana Tech will take on UTSA in the Conference USA tournament tomorrow at 4 p.m.  The Bulldogs hope to improve their resume and host a regional.

Saints Coach Sean Payton says 87-percent of the players are participating in organized team activities. There was talk of players skipping these training sessions after having a virtual 2020 offseason. Coach Sean Payton says they are not doing any on the field work, instead of its strength and conditioning.

Former LSU quarterback TJ Finley has announced that he will transfer to Auburn to continue his football career.  Finley started five games last season as a freshman, throwing for 941 yards with 5 TD’s and 5 interceptions.  He will compete will Bo Nix for Auburn’s starting quarterback job.
