Baseball America does not have LSU making a Regional as the way it stands now. B-A has the Crimson Tide as one of the last four teams in.

Baseball America has Louisiana Tech hosting a Regional. The Bulldogs will host U-T-S-A for a four-game series starting tonight. The Ragin Cajuns are chasing U-T-A for first place in the Sun Belt West. U-L Lafayette is two games back and they begin a series with the Mavericks tonight in Arlington. ULM is at sixth-ranked T-C-U.

The Saints have reportedly signed former Ragin Cajun safety Duece Wallace. Wallace was a team captain for U-L Lafayette in 2019, the last season he played and had 52 tackles in his career and one interception. He will participate in the Saints rookie minicamp this weekend.

The Pelicans are at Golden State tonight and they’ll finish the regular season on Sunday by hosting the Lakers.

LSU legend Seimone Augustus has retired and she’ll serve as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Sparks. The 37-year-old Baton Rouge native won four W-N-B-A titles after leading the Lady Tigers to three Final Four appearances.

Current LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey will be enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame on Saturday. Michael Jordan will present the Tickfaw native into the Hall.

At the state baseball Tournament, it will be Byrd and Jesuit in the Division One state title game after Byrd rallied to beat Catholic. Barbe defeated Sam Houston 1-to-nothing in 11 innings and the Bucs will play West Monroe for the Five-A title on Saturday night.
