We are expecting another round of severe weather today and into tomorrow morning. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 9 PM for southwest Louisiana and nearly all of central Louisiana. The watch box includes Natchitoches, Alexandria, DeRidder, Lake Charles and Opelousas.

Governor John Bel Edwards was in Caldwell Parish today to discuss Louisiana Green Fuels’ plans to build a 700-million dollar biodiesel plant that would produce up to 32-million gallons of renewable fuel annually. The project would generate 450 construction jobs and Edwards says that renewable diesel refinery would remove more carbon emissions from the environment than it produces…
