Beginning Monday, all adults in Louisiana will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Governor John Bel Edwards says anyone 16 and over, regardless of occupation or health status, can make an appointment to get vaccinated starting next week.

The decision comes after the White House said 27-million doses of vaccines will be distributed across the country next week, more than three times the number available two months ago.

The Board of Regents is seeking information from college campuses on how they are handling sexual misconduct claims. It’s in response to the Husch Blackwell report that found LSU mishandled previous sexual abuse allegations for years. Higher Education Commissioner Kim Hunter Reed says this is an opportunity to see where there are gaps in Title Nine offices…

A former middle school princiipal in Lafourche Parish has been arrested for having sexual relations with a teenager. Captain Brennan Matherne with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s office says their detectives got word that 44-year-old Ashleigh Landry of Raceland had exchanged inappropriate messages with a teenage boy…

Matherne says Landry was the principal at Lockport Middle School, but her employment recently ended.
