There were two more boating fatalities in the past couple of weeks bringing the total to seven before we hit the spring and summer boating season. At this time last year, the state reported only two boating fatalities. Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Lieutenant Dean Aucoin says boaters need to be aware of their surroundings.
