The LSU men’s basketball team had a five-point lead at Arkansas on Saturday, but played poorly in the second half and fell behind by 20 before losing to the 20th ranked Razorbacks 83-75. Coach Will Wade says it was a tale of two halves.

The 2021 Sun Belt men’s basketball tournament is scheduled for later this week from March 5to 8 at the Pensacola Bay Center. ULM will play South Alabama in the first round on Friday, March 5th at 5:30. ULL earned a first-round bye and the Ragin Cajuns will take on the winner of the ULM-South Alabama game in round two.
Due to the difficulties of playing through the Covid-19 pandemic, the Southland Conference has expanded the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments from eight teams to 10.

After a couple of losses on the road in Milwaukee and San Antonio, the Pelicans return home tonight to host the Utah Jazz, who have the best record in the NBA. On Saturday, the Pels fell to the Spurs 117-114 to drop their record to 14-19. After the game, New Orleans All-Star Zion Williamson said the team is close to winning a bunch of games.

The LSU baseball team won all three games this weekend as they took down Youngstown State 6-2 and 5-3 in the first two games before beating Nicholls 14-0 in game three.
The Ragin Cajuns baseball team swept its weekend series against Rice as the team got a 7-3 win on Friday night before winning 5-3 on Saturday then wrapped things up with a 6-3 victory over the Owls on Sunday.
