The Pelicans ended their three-game losing streak by pounding the Memphis Grizzlies 144 to 113 last night. Zion Williamson had a big game with 31 points and he was 13 of 16 from the field. He also added seven rebounds and six assists. Josh Hart had a season high 27 points, while Brandon Ingram chipped in with 22. The Pels ended their four game road trip with a 1-and-3 record. Cajuns Coach Bob Marlin says point guard Brayan Au is out for the season with a knee injury that’s bothered him most of the season. The junior will have surgery in the next week or two. He leads the team in assists, averaging nearly four a game.
The Cajuns baseball team is picked to finish third place in the Sun Belt West division based on a poll of the league’s coaches. ULM is picked to finish fifth. Cajuns pitcher Conor Angel made the preseason all-sun belt team, so did ULM’s Andrew Beesley.
