The Louisiana Republican Party blasts Senator Bill Cassidy for voting for the impeachment proceedings to go forward against former President Donald Trump.

An arrest has been made in the disappearance and death of 15-year-old Quawan Charles of Baldwin. Iberia Sheriff Tommy Romero says 37-year-old Janet Irvin failed to report Charles missing and contributed to juvenile delinquency. One autopsy report says Charles may have drowned himself during a psychotic episode brought on by marijuana.

The storming of the Capitol last month has motivated a Lafayette businessman to form a political action committee to bring awareness to what he feels are Congressman Clay Higgins’ extreme right views and calls for his resignation. Ken Miller says his Blachthorn PAC is producing anti-Higgins video ads in hopes of changing the mindset in the Third Congressional District.
