The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in route to a 31-9 victory to win Super Bowl 55. A trio of former LSU Tigers are now world champions with Devin White, Leonard Fournette, and Kevin Minter all getting the victory last night. Devin White had 12 total tackles on the night and reeled in an interception late in the fourth quarter to seal the win for the Bucs. White breaks down his big play.

Louisiana Tech’s Kenneth Lofton Jr. earned his third straight Conference USA Freshman of the Week honor. The forward became the seventh player in conference history to be awarded this honor for three consecutive weeks. It also brought his season total to six, the most by a freshman since Tech joined the conference in 2013. Lofton helped the Bulldogs split their two-game series against North Texas. In the two games, he averaged 11.5 points and 12 rebounds. Tech’s next game will be a two-game series against West Division leader UAB.

The New Orleans Pelicans beat the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday 118-109, which gives the Pelicans their third straight win. The Pels were once again led by its impressive frontcourt as forward Brandon Ingram had a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds while Zion Williamson poured in a team-high 29 points. New Orleans now sits at 10-12 after the win.
The team’s next game is scheduled for tomorrow when they host the Houston Rockets at 6:30.
