The Health Department confirmed two more cases of the UK variant of COVID in Louisiana, bringing the total to five. Brooke Thorington has more on what this could possibly foreshadow for the state.

Starting next week 57 Walmarts across the state will begin a trial run of their pharmacy vaccination program. Each will be given 100 doses to start to work out the kinks, that allocation coming from the state’s reserves.

Starting next Friday and running through Mardi Gras Day all indoor and outdoor bars will be shut in New Orleans, and access to the French Quarter will be limited. New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she rather be accused of doing too much than too little.
