While a 69% rebound in unemployment from April of 2020 indicates the state’s economy is recovering, LSU economist Dr. Loren Scott, unfortunately, says the outlook for the oil and gas industry is bleak. He says the Biden Administration’s moratorium on new leases in the Gulf of Mexico is very concerning.
