A Pineville man is dead following an incident with Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Deputies inside a residence this morning. Reports say the man threatened another person inside with a gun, then threatened to do harm to himself. After talking withe deputies for almost an hour, the subject returned with a firearm; pointing it at the officers. When he refused to lower the weapon, he was shot in the chest, and pronounced dead at the scene. the investigation continues.
