It was a good prep classic for the Lafayette area as Acadiana, Carencro, and Lafayette Christian all won state titles.

Conference play begins Friday for La Tech, U-L Lafayette and ULM. The Bulldogs open Conference USA play by hosting Marshall on Friday and Saturday in the Thomas Assembly Center. The Bulldogs have won three in a row and are 7-2 on the season, while Thundering Herd are 6-and-1.
