Governor Edwards says it’s past time everyone accepts President-elect Joe Biden won the November election. Edwards says it’s hard to justify holding out considering just earlier this week the Electoral College gave Biden 306 votes.

Lt Governor Billy Nungesser has tested positive for COVID-19. Nungesser is reportedly experiencing mild symptoms including fever and is in quarantine. He’s the fourth statewide elected official to test positive which includes Attorney General Jeff Landry, Senator Bill Cassidy, and Treasurer John Schroder. Schroder was briefly hospitalized and has now returned to work
