The state reported 1,016 new coronavirus cases and 23 more COVID-19 deaths today. Hospitalizations also increased by 31 to surpass for 14-hundred. Louisiana Treasurer John Schroder has been released from the hospital as he’s battling complications from COVID-19.

Voters soundly rejected a constitutional amendment Saturday that would have allowed out-of-state residents to sit on college management boards. Matt Doyle has more.
