The Louisiana SPCA says a baby goat was beheaded in an Algiers park in Orleans Parish overnight. They say a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person who committed this felony act of animal cruelty. The head of the goat has not been located and the animal’s brother is also missing from the park.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office has determined that yesterday’s fire in Calhoun, where two bodies were recovered, was a murder suicide. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s office has released an update in the case of the double homicide which occurred this week in Donaldsonville.
