LSU football coach Brian Kelly says any speculation quarterback Garrett Nussmeier needs surgery to repair an injury he suffered in fall camp is just not true.
Kelly says Nussmeier will do plenty of mental work without having to throw the ball during the bye week which will allow him to rest with the ab injury.
Even though Kelly says that Nussmeier is healthy, former LSU quarterback Rohan Davey thinks that something is wrong with the starting quarterback after seeing multiple uncharacteristic underthrows this season.

It’s official: the 2027 College Football Playoff National Championship game will be played at the Cesar’s Superdome on January 24, 2028. Bringing the game to New Orleans costed the city $6 million according to Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley.
Jeff Duncan of Nola.com reports that the New Orleans Saints are planning to announce they have finalized a long-term lease of the Caesars Superdome, ending a contentious negotiation with state officials with a deal aimed at keeping the team in the city.
The deal between the Saints organization and the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, known as the Superdome Commission, is expected to be unveiled during a news conference on Thursday.
Nicholls football dropped to 1 and 4 on the season after a disappointing 27-7 loss to Eastern Kentucky. The Colonels scored on the third play of the game but were not able to score for the rest of the game. Head coach Tommy Rybacki says his team has to do a better job of executing.
