On Monday, LSU football signed the number one transfer portal quarterback in Sam Leavitt of Arizona State. Jon Eagle, Leavitt’s former high school football coach at West Linn High School out of Oregon, believes Leavitt will flourish in new LSU head coach Lane Kiffin’s offensive system.

The Tigers landed their 31st commitment of the 2026 transfer portal class last night from Nicholls freshman offensive lineman Ja’Mard Jones. Jones played in six games for the Colonels this season and he did not allow a single sack.

The LSU men’s basketball team looks to bounce back from their tough loss against Kentucky on Wednesday as the Tigers host Missouri on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. LSU is honoring the 1986 Final Four Team, including head coach Dale Brown for the Alumni Game.

After winning the 2026 College World Series, LSU had to replace all off its starting infielders except for shortstop Steven Milam. At third base, the Tigers are looking to replace Michael Braswell, who only had three errors in 65 games last season. Head coach Jay Johnson says one player is standing out in the Tigers’ first week of practice.

Louisiana Tech men’s basketball looks to build off their thrilling comeback win against Middle Tennessee on Saturday as the Bulldogs are at Jacksonville State at 4 p.m.

McNeese looks to win their fifth straight game on Saturday as the Cowboys are on the road at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Tipoff is at 4:30 p.m.

Nicholls looks to bounce back from a blowout loss to McNeese earlier this week as the Colonels host Lamar in Thibodaux on Saturday at 3 p.m.

UL-Lafayette men’s basketball travels east to take on South Alabama on Saturday at 3 p.m.
