The report shows, statewide, only 82 pro- incumbent Mary Landrieu ads aired compared to over 1900 pro-Cassidy commercials. But Political analyst Bernie Pinsonat says Landrieu won’t be left out…:

Most of Louisiana is under a freeze warning tonight and tomorrow morning and parishes in southwest Louisiana are under a hard freeze warning. The National Weather Service forecasts freezing tempeatures for several hours.

Former Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin will be in Louisiana on Saturday. She’ll attend a campaign rally in Monroe for Congressman Bill Cassidy.

Leonard Fournette has rushed for 736 yards and seven touchdowns.

LSU athletic hall of famer and world series manager Alvin Dark has passed away at the age of 92. Dark was an all-SEC halfback for the LSU football team in 1942 and also played on LSU’s baseball team, before transferring to Southwestern Louisiana Institute, now U-L Lafayette. He was also a football- baseball star for the Bulldogs, who are now the ragin Cajuns. He was a shortstop on the New York Giants 1954 World Series championship team and managed the Oakland As to a 1974 World Series title.

In college hooops…LSU’s sophomore Jordan Mickey is a first-team All-SEC preseason selection by the league’s coaches. Vanderbilt’s Damian Jones, who is from Baton Rouge, is also on that list.

Ragin Cajuns forward Shawn Long has been named to the Lou Henson Award Watch List, which goes annually to the Division One “Mid-Major” Player of the Year.

An LSU police officer remains in stable condition after getting hit by a passing vehicle late Saturday night where University of Alabama team doctors rushed to his aid. The doctors were part of the team’s motorcade, according to LSUPD spokesman Captain Corey Lalonde:

Thirty-three year-old Sgt. Christopher Gresham is an eight year veteran of the department.

An attorney for one of the three Baton Police officers charged in a sex case, says he is looking forward to their day in court. Two officers and a former cop are facing charges that they allegedly forced a woman to perform a sex act on one of the officers at a Baton Rouge park earlier this year.

An LSU police officer remains in stable condition after getting hit by a passing vehicle late Saturday night in which Alabama team doctors rushed to his aid. The story is starting to grab national headlines. The doctors, Lyle Cain, Norman Waldrop and Benton Emblom were part of the team’s motorcade according to LSUPD spokesman Captain Corey Lalonde:

McPherson had gotten in some vehicle trouble with a friend and hasn’t been heard from since she called family to let them know she was lost.

There are freeze warnings out for much of Louisiana starting tonight into tomorrow morning and many areas along I-10 in the Acadiana region are under a HARD freeze warning for that time. Temps could fall into the mid 20-s to low 30s overnight and last up to 8 hours according to the national weather service. Winter weather precautions should be taken.

Sarah Palin, a tea party favorite, will be in Louisiana this weekend at a rally supporting US Senate candidate Bill Cassidy. The rally will also include 5th Congressional District Candidate Republican Ralph Abraham. Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson is also salted to attend the Saturday afternoon event in Monroe.

The Monroe Police Department says they are testing body cameras on officers. They are working to see if they benefit the department with the ultimate goal of getting footage that would protect both the interests of officers and citizens.

The Pelicans had no trouble getting past the Lakers last night as they defeated L-A 109-102. At one point, New Orleans had a 23-point lead and shot 56-percent from the floor. Anthony Davis led the way with 25 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots. Tyreke Evans had a double-double, 19 points and 11 assists. New Orleans hosts Minnesota on Friday.

The Saints are looking to get back in the win column after an overtime loss to San Francisco last weekend. It was the latest frustating loss for the Black and Gold in an up-and-down season. Coach Sean Payton says the team can’t look in the past…

Meteorologists forecast freezing temperatures for most of the state tonight through tomorrow.
