Opelousas Police has arrested a man accused of buying votes for certain candidates in the November 4th election. 64-year-old Wilfred Young is charged with bribery of voters.

Authorities have made a second arrest in connection with a Port Allen homicide investigation. Port Allen Police say Ronald Nolan is charged with accessory charges in connection with the October 27th murder of Major Carter. 19-year-old Javonte Morgan was previously arrested on murder charges in this case. Police believe this shooting was drug related.

District 5 Louisiana Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell won for this third term on election night this week. Campbell plans to continue to fight for Louisiana’s coast and fight lawmakers who strike down lawsuits against the oil and gas industries who he feels is responsible for the damage…
