An elderly driver from Grayson is dead following a crash with a charter bus on U.S. Highway 165 just south of Columbia. Eighty-six year-old Ted Coleman was attempting to enter the road from his driveway when he was struck by the bus. Coleman died later at a local hospital. His two passengers suffered moderate injuries. None of them were wearing seatbelts.

Twenty-six year-old Carlos Davis of Greenwood, Mississippi was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating two home invasions that occurred over the weekend in Houma. The first happened early Sunday morning at an apartment complex on Monarch Drive. The second occurred Sunday evening on Star Court. Both incidents involved two masked men forcing entry into the homes, holding the victims at gunpoint, and stealing items from the homes. It is unknown if the incidents are related.
