An internal review finds that Department of Children and Family Services staff members did not violate criminal laws in the case of a 15-year-old Baton Rouge boy found in poor living conditions and weighing only 47 pounds. The report contains seven different recommendations and DCFS Secretary Suzy Sonnier says they’ve already implemented one and that involves medical professionals in cases where the child is unable to verbally communicate…

Governor Bobby Jindal is asking the Inspector General to get involved in an investigation into allegations that Planned Parenthood is selling body parts from aborted fetuses. I-G Stephen Street’s office received a request from the governor to look into whether Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast is involved in the illegal harvesting and trafficking of human body parts. Planned Parenthood says the allegations are outrageous and a flat out lie.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office arrests a deputy who allegedly was bringing illegal substances and cell phones into the Lafayette Correctional Center and giving them to inmates. Investigators were able to gather enough evidence to substantiate the claim which led to charges of Malfeasance and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility against Deputy Jayron Lenoir. The accused is on administrative leave.

The SEC Network announces plans to run a new Storied documentary on Bo Rein who suddenly died in a plane crash before he ever coached his first game at LSU. The Tigers hired Rein at the end of the 1979 season in hopes of revitalizing the program. Rein died in the plan crash in January 1980 on the way home from a recruiting trip. The title of the documentary is “The Bo You Don’t Know” and is slated to run in September.
