Employees at the T-I-R-R Memoral Hermann also say Deputy Tullier can write his initials, strum a guitar and understand commands. But his recovery still has a long way to go. Tullier was one of six offiers shot last July.

An FBI spokesperson says they are conducting multiple court-authorized actions.
