The New Orleans Saints have fired two team doctors after they misdiagnosed cornerback Delvin Breaux’s leg injury. The initial thought was that the veteran had a contusion, but the latest X-Ray showed it was actually a fracture meaning he’ll miss 4-6 weeks. Coach Sean Payton says the oversight was a significant setback that slowed down the progress of Breaux’s recovery:
CUT 25 (12) “for us”
There were rumors going around this week that the team was shopping Breaux for a trade because of frustrations over his injuries.

The news of the doctors’ terminations, who worked for both of Tom Benson’s franchises, sparked a series of reactions from former Saints and a former Pelican. Breaux himself tweeted that life is great.

There is a new Tiger on the campus of LSU, but he’s not Mike VII just yet. Officials with the university say 11-month old Harvey is currently in a night house where he will be monitored by veterinarians for at least a week while they determine if he’s healthy and a good fit for LSU. Harvey was donated to LSU from a sanctuary in Florida, called “Wild at Heart Wildlife Center.” Mikes IV, V and VI were also donated to LSU from rescue facilities.

Beer and Wine are coming to a new portion of Tiger Stadium for the upcoming season. The university announced on Wednesday that the Skyline Club, which will be located on top of the south deck of Death Valley, will feature an all-you-can eat special menu that is included in the price of the ticket. Additional menu items along with beverages, including beer and wine, will be available for an additional cost.

The Sun Belt released its 2018 and 2019 conference football schedules on Wednesday.
