Gas prices have been on a slow decline over the last three weeks and the statewide average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.22. A year ago, the statewide average was $2.09. Triple-A fuel analyst Don Redman says OPEC meets next month and if they decide to cut back on oil production, it could cause gas prices to drop even more in the United States….

Flood damage is also reported in East Feliciana Parish where 20 boat rescues were conducted where about six inches of rain fell.

Two children in Natchitoches were injured Sunday after they were hit by bullets.  Police say the three and five-year-olds were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.  The younger child was hit in the foot while the five-year-old sustained a shot in a calf.    Several nearby apartments and vehicles were damaged.  Suspects from the gunfight have been identified but no arrests have been made.

Feldman and members of his crew, who were also charged, were in town for a gig in Monroe. Mangham Police Chief Perry Fleming says cops pulled over an RV driven by Feldman Saturday…:

Because the charges weren’t felonies, the celebrity was able to pay the $640 fine rather than posting bond. Feldman sent out a Tweet regarding the incident and said someone he was with had a prescription for medical marijuana out of California, but there no “street drugs” in the vehicle. Fleming says it was a minor incident..:

A woman accused of shooting a state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agent in Morehouse Parish during a traffic stop in January pleaded guilty to all four counts against her.  31-year-old Amethyst Baird of Monroe pled guilty of first-degree attempted murder of a police officer, obstructing justice, and illegal possession of a stolen vehicle and firearm.  Baird remains in custody pending her sentencing January 26.

While Besh denied the allegations of workplace harassment, he did acknowledge an affair with a female employee, and said he was trying to repair the damage that affair did to his family.
