Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier threw for 254 yards, the most passing yards he’s had this season against an FBS opponent. But Nussmeier was also intercepted twice. Coach Brian Kelly didn’t like the turnovers, but overall he was encouraged by his performance…

ULM football coach Bryant Vincent is not happy with his team’s performance on Saturday as the Warhawks lost to Coastal Carolina 23-8. ULM was penalized seven times and the Warhawks went 1-for-13 on third down…

ULM returns to Malone Stadium this Saturday to host the Troy Trojans.

The Ragin Cajuns are also home this Saturday as they will host Southern Miss at 4 PM. U-L Lafayette fell to James Madison 24-14 this past weekend. The Cajuns are 2-4 on the season.

 

Southeastern Louisiana is ranked 22nd in the Coaches poll. The Lions host Northwestern State this Saturday. The Demons are coming off a loss to Houston Christian.

Governor Jeff Landry wants to see security beefed up around Tiger Stadium when LSU is hosting a football game. Landry’s directive is in response to a shooting that took place about a mile away from Tiger Stadium on Saturday night near Highland Road and Dalrymple. Few details have been released, but East Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services confirmed two people were transported to the hospital after they were shot. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening.

For the third consecutive year, Louisiana Tech has seen an increase in enrollment, with more than 12,000 students enrolled. Andre Champagne has the story…

The trail features factory tours such as the iconic Tabasco on Avery Island, restaurants, and attractions offering unique takes on hot sauce. Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser says the new trail is part of the state’s Year of Food campaign, showcasing Louisiana food as a top reason for traveling to the state…

Doctor Jim Henderson says they’ve seen their nursing program and Aviation management programs grow and they continue to attract a lot of engineering students…

Exciting times at Southeastern Louisiana University as the school celebrates its 100th anniversary this homecoming week. Dr. William Wainwright says the school has achieved its highest enrollment in more than a dozen years, with a student body of almost 16-thousand.

ULM dropped to 3-3 overall, 1-1 in the Sun Belt after losing to Coastal Carolina 23-8 in rainy conditions in Conway, South Carolina. ULM struggled to do much offensively as most of its drives lasted just five plays or fewer. Coach Bryant Vincent is not happy with his team’s execution…

The Cajuns lost 24-14 at James Madison. Quarterback Lunch Winfield, in his first start, threw for 243 yards, two TDs and one interception.  But the Cajuns only rushed for 45 yards. U-L hosts Southern Miss this Saturday.

Northwestern State is now 1-and-5 as the Demons lost to Houston Christian 20-17.

Southern and Grambling also both lost.

Moreno is 48 years old. She was born in Mexico and grew up in Texas. She came to New Orleans as a TV journalist in 2001 and won an Emmy for her coverage of Hurricane Katrina.

In 2008, Moreno ran for Congress but lost. She was elected as a state representative in 2010, and in 2018, Moreno was elected to the city council.

Moreno says she plans to focus on the city’s services in her first 100 days in office…
