LSU leaves Baton Rouge today for Alabama where they’ll play the Crimson Tide in a game that will decide who will win the SEC West. The Purple and Gold were embarrassed 29-0 in front of the home crowd last year by Saban’s Crimson Tide. Quarterback Joe Burrow says this year’s team is a lot more experienced and prepared.

The Ragin Cajuns had their second straight dominating win as U-L Lafayette crushed Coastal Carolina 48-7 last night. Quarterback Levi Lewis had a big game, 296 yards passing and three touchdowns. U-L is now 7-and-2.

La Tech will look to improve to 8-and-1 when the Bulldogs host North Texas tomorrow. The Mean Green are led by Mason Fine, who has thrown 27 Tds.

After missing the last two games with a high ankle sprain, Saints running back Alvin Kamara is expected to play Sunday versus Atlanta. Latavius Murray did well filling in for the injured Kamara. Coach Sean Payton says they’ll be smart with how they use Kamara, but they have two backs they can count on…

High school football, Neville knocked off Huntington 56-6, Calvary Baptist crushed Arcadia 48-8, Oak Grove cut down Cedar Creek 55-16, Sterington shutout Carroll 28-zip and Alexandria defeated West Ouachita 35-13.
