The LSU men’s basketball team got an opportunity to practice in Pittsburgh today as they ready for tomorrow night’s match-up with North Carolina State in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack have three starters who average in double figures, including Ralston Turner, who spent his freshman and sophomore seasons with the LSU Tigers.

Tonight in Monroe, U-L-M will host Eastern Michigan in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational. This is the Warhawks 10th ever postseason appearance and first since the 1995-96 season. ULM has only won one postseason game and that was in 1991 as they defeated Florida A-and-M in a play-in-game into the NCAA Tournament.

Louisiana Tech defeated Central Michigan in the N-I-T last night. The Bulldogs will next play Texas A-and-M in College Station. The game will take place on Monday, but an exact time has not been announced. U-L Lafayette defeated Incarnate Word in the C-I-T last night and no word on who the Cajuns will play next.

The number one ranked LSU baseball team is off to Arkansas where they’ll begin a three-game series against the Razorbacks tomorrow night. LSU needed ten innings to beat cross-town rival Southern four to two last night. LSU shortstop Alex Bregman drove in two runs and Collin Strall earned the win in relief and Jesse Stallings picked up his ninth save.

Former US Open Champion Justin Rose, who is ranked as the 10th best golfer in the world, has committed to play in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, which will take place April 23rd to the 26th at TPC Louisiana. Rose’s commitment to play in the Zurich Classic, comes about a week after Billy Horschel’s announcement that he would play in New Orleans next month. Horschel won the Zurich Classic in 2013 and he’s ranked 17th in the world. Fore Kids Foundation President Steve Worthy credits the golf course in helping them get some of the best players in the world
