Collin Morikawa hit the shot of a lifetime on the 16th hole to set up an eagle putt that put him in the lead of the PGA championship in San Francisco. Morikawa hit a drive 294 yards within 7 feet of the pin to seal the deal. He finished with a six under 64…the lowest final round in the PGA in 25 years.

The New Orleans Pelicans took a knockout blow yesterday for their playoff hopes getting hammered by the San Antonio Spurs 122 to 113. The Pelicans are officially eliminated from play-off hopes with the loss. The Pelicans got within 4 points in the third quarter but were unable to close the deal. Zion Williamson scored 25 points, 18 in the second half.

In Major League Baseball the entire three game series between the Pittsburgh pirates and St. Louis Cardinals that was set to begin tonight has been postponed while the Cardinals deal with Coronavid 19 outbreak. So far 27 games have been cancelled due to corona. The Cardinals have not played since July 30th and have had 13 games scrapped. Miami and Philly each had seven games postponed.

The 2020 college football season is in jeopardy as a nationwide conference meeting is scheduled to take place this week, according to Sports Illustrated. Yesterday, ESPN reported that commissioners held an emergency meeting from the power five conferences over growing concerns fall sports can’t be played. Sports Illustrated reported Sunday a well-placed source said “I think by the end of the week the fall sports will be postponed in all conferences.
