France it is! France defeated Croatia yesterday 4 to 2 in an exciting world cup finality. France Struck first jumping out to a one nothing lead. Croatia then tied the score only to have France score again before the break. In the second half it was all France as they jumped out to a 4-1 lead and the final 4-2 win. The French players are all 25 or younger meaning they likely will all return to defend the world cup in 2022 in Qatar.
Novak Djokovic wins his fourth Wimbledon championship yesterday in London. Djokovic defeated Kevin Anderson in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, 7-6.
Former Saint’s stand-out Darren Sproles has decided to hang up the cleats after this football season. Sproles, 35, is coming off a torn ACL, and a broken arm, made the announcement yesterday afternoon. He did promise the SuperBowl champions Philadelphia Eagles one more year however. Sproles has been in the league 13 years.
