Cross says if Kennedy enters the race he will be the favorite. He won re-election to the Senate with 62 percent of the vote. Cross says he has also polled the highest of the potential candidates.
In his announcement, Cassidy pointed out he is the ranking Republican member in a powerful senate committee on health care, education, employment, and retirement policies. Cross says Cassidy’s history of bi-partisanship will also be helpful.

The Golden Band from Tigerland is the first marching band to ever receive a Grammy nomination. The band recorded the album Full Circle with alum Sean Ardoin last spring, and it’s received a nod as Best Regional Roots Music Album. LSU Band Director Dr. Kelvin Jones says it’s historic.
Jones says when Ardoin approached him about the idea he assumed it would be one song, but it ended up being an entire album. And now Ardoin is releasing a double vinyl album, that’s of course purple and gold and 15% of the proceeds will go to the band for scholarship and more.
The 65th Grammy Awards will be presented on February 5th and Jones says he plans on being there and fingers crossed he and Sean Ardoin will bring home some hardware. But in the meantime, Jones says just the nomination is a huge honor.
Cut 14 (09) “…really excited.”
You can find the album Full Circle wherever you download music and pre-order the double vinyl album at SeanArdoin.com
