A Clinton man police allege killed three and injured one in East Feliciana and East Baton Rouge Parishes is in custody. Police say 36-year-old Ryan Sharpe shot and killed three since July and injured one last month. Officials expect to charge Sharpe with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
As black bears have made a big comeback in the Bayou State, the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries encourages Louisianans to visit bearwise.org. Maria Davidson says there is now more interaction between black bears and the public.

Members of the Louisiana House met Thursday to learn about budget issues. Louisiana faces a fiscal cliff when one-point-38-billion-dollars in temporary revenue ends July 1. Minden Representative Gene Reynolds says they all know what the problem is and they know there are no easy solutions. Alexandria Representative Lance Harris says they had a very positive response from members. Over half of the 103 members attended the meeting.
