In Alexandria today, Senator Mary Landrieu announced her endorsement choice for the Fifth Congressional District. The Senator says Jamie Mayo, the long-time Democratic mayor of Monroe is the right choice for the district, and said he would be a bridge-builder for Democrats, Republicans and Independents on the Hill, and continue the economic building of that district.

LSU Police are looking for a group of men connected to an alleged rape of a female victim on campus last week. Captain Corey LaLond says the incident reportedly took place on West Lakeshore Drive, which is usually a very well-traveled area…

Many homes and businesses in Monroe and West Monroe remain powerless as a result of a tornado that moved through the area Monday. Entergy spokesman Roderick Worthy says at the height of the storm, about 38,000 customers were without power in the Ouachita Parish area…
