Governor Bobby Jindal has made it official, as he announced on Twitter that he is running for President. On his campaign website, BobbyJindal.com, the governor posted a video of him telling his three children about the decision.

After his appearance announcement in Kenner this afternoon, tomorrow, Jindal has national cable TV interviews scheduled, including Fox News and CNN, along with some New Hampshire speeches.

The ousted heirs New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Tom Benson have filed an appeal in the interdiction for control of the 87 year-old’s billion-dollar empire, claiming Benson remains in a quote- “foggy state.” Wednesday’s appeal comes after Orleans Parish Civil District Court Judge Kern Reese denied the heirs’ petition last week.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s office says three people are dead, after a fatal domestic situation. Spokeswoman Ginny Higgins says they received a call from one of the victims, 72-year-old Leola Blanchard, who advised that she’d been shot by her husband, 58-year-old Clifford Blanchard…:

Higgins says Clifford Blanchard apparently also shot and killed his 3-year-old granddaughter, before being fatally shot by his son, Scott.
