St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe issued a statement yesterday saying they plan to cut about 300 jobs.

The U.S. Department of Energy has given approval for an export license of Cameron LNG located in Hackberry, making way for an $6 billion dollar expansion. Sempra Energy reports that will bring in about three thousand construction jobs and about 140 full-time jobs in Cameron Parish.
