After a denial of a request by a federal appellate court to re-hear the case of some death row inmates at Angola to get air-conditioning, attorneys may ask for the Supreme Court to step in. A Baton Rouge federal judge first ruled that prison officials should consider other methods- besides air conditioning- to keep heat indexes on death at or below 88 degrees.
