St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne (chahm-pine) reports today that the condition of Cpl. Burt Hazeltine (tine like dine) is improving. Last Wednesday he was shot multiple times in an ambush by a disgruntled driver. Hazeltine is in University Hospital in stable condition with a surgery scheduled tomorrow. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is planning a fundraising lunch/dinner this Saturday at Shriners Hall.
