Matey says when deputies arrived, Anderson was holding his wife at gunpoint, then he fired his weapon, which resulted in deputies using lethal force.

A Ragin Cajuns football player has been arrested on domestic abuse battery charges. Sergeant Bill Abrams, with the UL Lafayette Police Department, says Chris Hill was taken into custody after the female victim came forward and the incident was also caught on tape, as it happened in a parking garage on campus…

The 2015 governor’s race now features four major candidates with the entrance of Public Service Commission member Scott Angelle. The former secretary of the department of health and hospitals has entered a not guilty plea on perjury charges. Bruce Greenstein was indicted by a grand jury on September 23rd. He’s accussed of lying about the alleged contact he had with his former employer Client Network Services, which was awarded a 200-million dollar state contract to process Medicaid claims.
